The House of Alchemy is Jakkie of Northern Edge Counseling and Amy of Deeply Rooted Wellness. We are both experienced, licensed psychotherapists and facilitators trained in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. With our combined backgrounds in trauma work, holistic healing, and group facilitation, we bring a wealth of complementary knowledge to help you navigate this transformative experience to bring you this special offering in northern Minnesota!
Amy specializes in relational trauma, including sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and childhood attachment trauma, as well as grief work.
Jakkie’s focus is centered around the management of unrelenting stress, healing trauma, and breaking patterns of overwhelm and shut-down.

This retreat will a small closed-group, 3-day weekend retreat designed for individuals seeking profound emotional healing. A "closed group", is the same people together through the duration of the retreat. Whether you’re a trauma survivor, a therapist seeking rejuvenation, or simply looking to reconnect with your authentic self, this retreat offers a safe, supportive environment to explore your inner landscape.
Our program blends ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with the healing elements of nature, bodywork, and group support. Together, these elements create a nurturing space to process, release, and reclaim your connection to self.
What Is Included?
*Lodging: Experience comfort and calm with all accommodations thoughtfully included, ensuring a seamless and restful stay.
*Nourishment: Indulge in the vitality of four wholesome meals, thoughtfully crafted to nourish your body, complimented by nutritious snacks that can help to sustain your energy throughout each day.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): Guided sessions to access deeper layers of consciousness, helping you release trauma, transform limiting beliefs, and gain insight into your life.
*Individual and Group Therapy: A minimum of one individual integration session as well as group integration work with a licensed, trained therapists during the retreat weekend. Note that we will be offering additional options for integration sessions, both group and individual, post-retreat.
*Bodywork and Healing Practices: The opportunity to experience soothing massage or bodywork to relax and prepare your body for deeper therapeutic healing.
*Connection with Nature: Enjoy the tranquility of our retreat space, with access to serene lake views, walking trails, and calming natural surroundings. Reconnect with self and rejuvenate. There will be sauna, cold plunge, and optional outdoor activities.
*Supportive Group Environment: You’ll be joined by a small group of individuals (6-8 people) who share your commitment to healing, with opportunities for group discussion, reflection, and connection.
*Cleansing and Rituals: Participate in space-clearing practices with dried herbs and intentional rituals to ground your experience in nature and spirit.

What You Can Expect.
Day 1 (Friday)
Arrive and settle. A fire will be tended to and cared for during the retreat from the beginning to the end. We begin the weekend's journey with a calming introduction, offering you the opportunity to ground and welcome yourself into the space through activities like relaxing in the sauna, taking a refreshing cold plunge, sipping tea by the cozy fireplace, or choosing another centering practice that resonates with you.
Day 2 (Saturday)
In the morning, join in intentional preparation for the ceremony followed by the KAP ceremony. Afterward, we will come together for integrative group discussions and reflection, fostering deep connection and insight. Space be provided for both individual and group centering practices including bodywork/massage, somatic movement, sauna, cold plunge, the warmth of the fire, rest, and more.
Day 3 (Sunday)
Enjoy sauna and cold plunge activities, group and individual wrap-up, and closing reflections before heading back out into the world. *Please note that we will intentionally create space throughout the retreat weekend for you to rest, reflect, and follow what feels right for you.
Logistics & Important Information
Dates: February 7-9, 2025
Location: A serene lodge in Cotton, MN, nestled in natural surroundings with access to trails, lakes, and a private sauna about 45 minutes WNW of Duluth.
Price: $2,000 per person. This includes meals, lodging, bodywork, and all therapeutic sessions.
Important Information:
Prior to attending, participants will need to complete a medical assessment with Journey Clinical and be approved for the medication/prescription. A full refund will be given in the event that a participant is not medically cleared.
This is a separate cost of approximately $450 and can be reimbursed or covered by certain insurances.
